Mrs. Joyce Patten, 82, passed away March 18, 2013. She was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Long Lake, Wis., to Frederick and Irene Rich Parker.
Mrs. Patten was a resident of Freeport. She was Assembly of God by faith and attended Damascus Assembly of God and Heritage Assembly of God. She worked as a hairdresser for many years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Patten is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, James Patten, son, Ronnie Patten and grandson, Shawn Patten.
Mrs. Patten is survived by her son, Jon Patten and wife JoAnna of Freeport; brother, Fred Parker of California; daughte-in-law, Linda Patten of Everett, Wash.; grandchildren, Jessica Calvert and husband Daniel, Matthew Patten, Christopher Patten and wife Charleen, Misty Dickinson and husband Eric, and Kristy Dahl; great-grandchildren, Brook Patten, Tyson Patten, Brittana Patten, James Gibson, Kinsey Patten, Kitrina Lorraine, Brandon Davis, Brian Davis, Brandlee Lang, Mache Jones and Brandi Jones; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law Be Etta Jo Briggs of Freeport, and brother-in-law, Danny Patten of Massachusetts.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. March 23 at Hatcher Cemetery with Eulogy by Matthew Jon Patten.
Floral arrangements are being accepted or donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
