A 15-year-old boy was reported missing by his mother Monday, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office.



Nicholas John Bettua was last seen at his home on Calle Escada Drive about 4 p.m. Sunday, a Sheriff's Office news release said.  He told his mother he was going to a basketball court nearby for about an hour.



He has not been seen since, the Sheriff's Office reported. Nicholas called his mother Monday to say he’d be back Tuesday or Wednesday night, according to the Sheriff’s Office.



He was last seen wearing jeans, a camouflage jacket and a University of Alabama cap. He is white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 125 pounds. He has blond hair and green eyes.
