Frances Jones Douglas



Mrs. Frances Jones Douglas, 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior April 24, 2013.  She was born July 4, 1939, in Mobile, Ala., to Joseph Arnell Jones and Loelle Hudson Jones.



Mrs. Douglas was a resident of Freeport. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Hollywood Boulevard Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach. She worked as an apartment manager for many years before retiring. She enjoyed playing piano and arts and crafts. She was an avid Florida Gator Football fan. She was a dedicated follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.



Mrs. Douglas is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lois Douglas.



Mrs. Douglas  is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, John Douglas of Freeport; son, Heyward “Woody” Chance of Panama City; daughters, Juli Lane of Gulf Shores, Ala., Robin Blanton of DeFuniak Springs, Susan Davis and husband Oliver of Fort Polk, La.; brothers, Joe Jones II and wife Kathy, Henry Jones and wife Becky of Fairhope, Ala.; sisters, Charlotte Blanton, Susie Merrill and husband Tad of Freeport; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, Henry of Fairhope, Ala., Joe of Mountain Rest, SC, Susie of Freeport and Charlotte of Madison, Ala..



A time of visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. April 28 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, 150 East Hwy. 20.



Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. April 28 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home.



Floral arrangements are being accepted.
