Quest (n) the act of seeking or pursuing something.

This weekend, those who enjoy seeking out new artists, artwork, wines and cheeses, and music will be rewarded. ArtsQuest Fine Arts & Music Festival brings talented artists and many art forms to WaterColor Inn & Resort, May 10-12, for a fun-filled weekend of artistic discovery for all ages.

Adults are invited to explore one-of-kind art among 175 exhibitors, broadening their skills and unleashing their creativity at art workshops, discovering new wines through WineQuest and uncovering new music as talented musicians perform on one of five stages throughout the weekend.

For kids, the 25th annual ArtsQuest includes a magical land of creativity coined ImagiNation: Where Kids Rule! WaterColor's Cerulean Park will be the epicenter of ImagiNation, providing unending opportunities for children to explore, create and imagine. The fun begins with TreasureQuest. By purchasing a TreasureQuest map, parents will support the arts while providing their child access to the interactive arts and crafts stations created to encourage creativity.

"The CAA is passionate about bringing art education and cultural enrichment to children," said CAA Executive Director Jennifer Steele. "The addition of ImagiNation and enhanced youth activities at ArtQuest is a natural progression for the festival, which has always had a youth component. Thanks to ImagiNation Chair and Butler Elementary Art Teacher, Constance Rogers, for her passion and hard work to make this year's kids area bigger and better than ever."

Children may also sign up for special workshops, including Camp WaterColor's wax hand workshop and Meyer Skimboards' custom designed skimboard workshop. A student art exhibit featuring original watercolors by Walton County students created especially for ArtsQuest will also be on display. A photo board with Justin Lyon's poster artwork will invite kids to snap a picture with Lyon's youth-inspired piece.

Performance art will be showcased through storytelling by Seaside Repertory Theater cast members and performances by 30A Dancewave students. The ImagiNation Stage will also showcase local student talent with performances by Seaside Neighborhood School Band and Ohana Institute Bands. Two shows by Boxtop Jenkins, whose song "Wag More, Bark Less" recently reached No.1 on SiriusXM Kids Place Live, will have kids on their feet.
