Memorial Day Friday Fun on the Gulf Place Green May 24 will feature live music from The Whiskey Band from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be plenty of food and fun with artists and vendors from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Interested artists & vendors should contact wilddyes@yahoo.com.



Memorial Day Celebration



Kick-off summer May 24-26 with free concerts, kid's activities, street performers, and a fireworks finale at 9 p.m. May 26 over the harbor. Performers include Departure: The Journey Tribute Band on May 24 and 25 and Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses on May 26. The event is free. Call 424-0600.



 Memorial Day at Baytowne



Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend and the beginning of summer from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. May 25-27 at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.



Enjoy bands on the Events Plaza each night. Children’s activities will be featured in the Events Plaza on Sunday night, and then sky will light up above the lagoon with a patriotic fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.



On Monday, the Village will host a Memorial Day program right before sunset, presented by Sandestin veterans and including a brass band performance by the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.



 Cruise



Memorial Day Cruise Celebrate Memorial Day with a dolphins, sunset and fireworks cruise from 7-9:30 p.m. May 26 at SunQuest Cruises in Baytowne Marina in Sandestin. Make reservations at 424-6465.



 Kick-Off Summer Concert



The kick off summer concert features St. Paul and the Broken Bones at 8 p.m. May 26 on the East Long Green in Rosemary Beach. 



 Sinfonia Goes Pops



Bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the orchestral sounds of Sinfonia Gulf Coast from 7:30-9 p.m. May 26 at the Amphitheatre in Alys Beach.  Piper's will offer food and beverages.



 Ceremony



American Legion Post 296 in Destin will hold a Memorial Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. May 27 at Destin Memorial Cemetery. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served at 12:30 p.m. at 311 Main Street.



 Service



A Memorial Day service will be held at 10 a.m. May 27 at Gulf Cemetery in Santa Rosa Beach. The ceremony takes place at the historical grounds located on County Road 393, which is located north of Gulf Place at Scenic Highway 30A.
