I enjoyed a great dinner and fun evening with old friends and new at the beautiful Sandestin home of Kent and Peggy Lillie Sunday night. Great meal, wine, fun and lively conversation with the Lillies, Allen and Hilary Butler, Beverly and Greg Schmitt, and John Stasko. I hope we didn't stay so long that we are not invited back! Thanks, guys! The Butlers just moved here from Nashville.

Last Tuesday night I enjoyed an early dinner at The Vue. Chef Gio's Pistachio Grouper is my all-time fav. John Stasko and his daughter Kate from St. Louis and Kate's boyfriend Dom were there.

On a personal note, my only son, Brett, will take Elizabeth Ranieri as his bride next week in Auburn, N.Y. I wish Godspeed on all of us who will be traveling up to share in their joy and joining of these two and their families and give them our blessings. "We're going to the chapel and we're gonna get married ... "

Wish a "happy birthday" today to Albert F's Brad Speight, former Seaside Neighborhood School principal Shirley Foster, and Sheryl Johnston.
