Hoda Mercer Allen



Hoda Mercer Allen of Freeport, Fla., passed away on July 20, 2013. She and her husband of 40 years, Barry J. Allen, formerly Baker then Greensburg, Louisiana. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Ill., and survived by her husband and three children, Theron Chiasson, Barry J. Allen II, Kay Hornsby and nine grandchildren.



A time of visitation will be held from 8-9 a.m. July 25 at Destiny Worship Center, 122 Poinciana Blvd. in Destin.



Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. July 25 at Destiny Worship Center with the Rev. Steve Vaggalis officiating.



Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. July 25 at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road in  Pensacola.



Floral arrangements are being accepted. The family has requested green plants.

Yvonne Joyner



Mrs. Yvonne Joyner, 87, passed away July 20, 2013. She was born May 26, 1926, in Spartanburg, S.C.



Mrs. Joyner was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, moving from Atlanta, Ga. She worked as a secretary for 17 years with the American Cancer Society before retiring.



Mrs. Joyner is preceded in death by her parents, one son, and one daughter.



Mrs. Joyner is survived by her husband, Carl Joyner, one son James Watson, and one sister.  



A time of visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. July 26 Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, 150 East Hwy. 20 in Freeport.



Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. July 26, 2013 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Murray officiating.



Floral arrangements are being accepted.



Burial will follow in the Gulf Cemetery.
