If you have not visited Grayton Bar & Grill yet, go! I enjoyed a night out there last Friday with John Stasko and Ron and Gena Bolton. Fun! Johnny and Debbie Earles were exquisite and attentive hosts. Their whole grilled red snapper a la Criolla is awesome, and their coffee/amaretto flan was to die for. We all enjoyed. Pat Carlyle and June and Greg Kohls were also there.

Demetrius Fuller and Michael Dobson were pleasantly surprised last Sunday when they went to brunch at Stinky's and discovered a New Orleans Jazz Band playing there in honor of Louis Armstrong's birthday. Happy birthday Satchmo!

Last weekend marked Byron Chism's 16th year in a row to be part of the Dillard Bluegrass & BBQ event in Dillard, Ga., where the mountains are beautiful and the music is as good as bluegrass gets. Byron said his favorite band this year was Shannon Slaughter & County Clare. Congratulations to Pig Whisperers, BBQ Grand Champs out of 61 teams. Byron thinks he likes judging.
