As part of the on-going marijuana eradication effort, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office seized 1,513 marijuana plants that were seen by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit yesterday, August 12.  The aviation unit notified investigators of the location and responded to the area of Dr. Nelson Road and Raley Road.  1,513 marijuana plants were seized in a heavily wooded area ranging from small potted plants in trays to a couple of feet.  The street value of the plants at full maturity would be worth 3 million dollars.  The marijuana was pulled and transported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office where it was turned in to evidence to be destroyed.  At this time there are no known suspects.
