After the gym, errands and some beach time last weekend — wasn't it glorious? — it was time to hunker down and watch some ball. As I imagine a lot of folks did, I switched the channels back and forth between watching the Tide roll and the Garnet and Gold win. Wow, do both have stellar teams this season! The baseball — that proved to be a little more touch and go, but worth the watch.



The festive spirit does inspire festive cooking — such as hotdogs, homemade pizza, and a slow-cooked Boston butt Rroast. Yum, and more yum!



Joyce Sunday, and Laura Cox watched the Noles win last Saturday in Tally.



Jennifer McAlexander watched her game from the Superdome.



Tom and Michelle Fillingim rooted for their Red Sox from sunny southern California's palm desert.



Greg and Beverly Schmitt traveled to Jacksonville, on to Amelia Island, then stopped in Tallahassee on their way back to see the FSU game.



Jim and Emily Springer and son Lucas and daughter Maren traveled to Atlanta to see the aquarium.



Debbie Weant took her mother to St. Augustine.



Tom and Dana Saffel were seen soaking up some rays on the beach last weekend.

Wayne and Ladie Bea Carlisle, and Dan Mueller enjoyed lunch at The Vue last Sunday.



I saw Max Banning, John Stasko, and Mary Lutz at Coastal Branch Library's book sale Saturday.



Others did even more exciting things last weekend — such as Seagrove artist Juan Adaro, who won Best in Show at the Destin Festival of the Arts.



Kent Lillie took the prize for longest drive in the inaugural Fore Her golf tournament at Sandestin's The Links course.



Ron Hart played golf in Tennessee with Peyton Manning, and had his picture taken with Bill Gates.



Congratulations to Jim and Brenda Radtke on the marriage of their son Jimmy last weekend at the beach.



DuRee Stewart is expecting a new grandbaby and found out last weekend it will be a girl.



Boni Rekas, Mary Andrulot, Ed and Donna Macdonald, Mike and Carol Stovsky, Tom Saffel, Mary Lee, and Keith and RoseAnn Knight enjoyed The Vue's Halloween party last Friday.



Attending Alys Beach's Noche de los Muertos Halloween party last weekend were Mike and Angela Ragsdale, Shannon Johnson and Ashley Johnson.



Suzanne Blakeman went to Kansas City to see family and friends, took in an Eagles concert and attended a Kansas City Chiefs game.



Heidi Ellis had an amazing experience at the St. Petersburg Sunken Garden Yoga Festival.

Kitty Taylor and Alan Riehl celebrated their 8th anniversary last week. Sheila and Jimmy Green celebrated 36 years of marriage this week.
