December is an exciting time for the Walton County Coastal Branch Library.  The branch will begin opening on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Dec. 7.

The Friends of the Coastal Branch Library are pleased about Decemberís featured artist, photographer Dave Sullivan. Dave was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and studied in Santa Fe, N.M. In the 1980s when he moved to Dallas, he began using his spare time to shoot pictures with his 35mm camera.

A few years ago Sullivan purchased a digital camera and began to study the features it offered. He found a way to adapt the lens from his film camera to the digital camera for more flexible shooting opportunities. Adding a telescope has greatly increased Daveís photography inspiration as he travels across the country.

Most of Sullivanís images are of nature including landscapes, plants and animals. Striving to make art through photography, Dave uses no enhancing software. His work is natural with only slight crops, or color to black and white conversions. Contact Dave Sullivan through
