On Dec. 7, the staff at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort gave back to the brave men and women who help keep our family and friends safe with a day full of fun and food.
“Our community wouldn’t be successful without the tireless work these fine men and women perform all day and every day,” said Sandestin General Manager Mark Hodgdon. “Giving them a carefree lunch and afternoon with their friends and family is the least we could do to say thank you and job well done.”
In addition to a luncheon, first responders and their families enjoyed free carousel rides, live music and other entertainment in the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Sandestin staff members ranging from assistants to directors came out in full force to show their appreciation and support. Throughout the afternoon, more than 180 meals were served to first responders and their family members.
Captain Audie Rowell with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office said “We truly appreciate Sandestin for taking the initiative to give us this opportunity to celebrate with both our first responder family and our own families.”
