Didon Comer hosted her annual exotic costumed birthday party on Jan. 25 in the theme of the letter "D" this year. Guests had fun and let their imaginations run wild as they dressed in costumes as anything beginning with the letter "D." Those enjoying the festivities at Didon's Seagrove Beach home included Brenda and Jim Radtke, Beth and Bob Coppedge, Hank White, Harriet Crommelin and Stephen Marlette, Paul and Sandy Luchtefeld, Meg Nelson, Garrett and Nina Horn, Maunsel and Karen White, Jim and Bert Summerville-Kain, Polli Youngbeck, Donnelle Clark, and Meg Warrington. I hear a great time was had by all.

Hank White attended Didon's party dressed as a director. After the party he returned home to some good serendipitous news. He had a message waiting about live streaming for the Sundance Film Festival awards. By the time he hooked up, the editing award for U.S. Documentary Films was being handed out. The next category was for Best Director and Hank's son, Ryan White, and Ben Cotner were announced as the winners. Hank said it was truly amazing watching and listening to his son being recognized as Best Director and then seeing him accept the award live.
