With the ice melted and the temperatures rising, it's time to look forward to spring time. And there's no better way to start the spring season than with a new membership to Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club.
Since 1969, the club has been a home away from home for golf-lovers and their families as a place to relax and enjoy the view. Today close to 600 members enjoy the club along with their families and invited guests, yet there's always room for more.
"It's a great place for families to play golf or go to the pool that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and private beach and then meet for lunch at Vue on 30A," said Lesan Gouge, membership and marketing director for Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club.
Club memberships include the exquisite 18 hole, par 72 golf course, which offers a challenge from five sets of tees for those of every skill level. The course is also designed perfectly for walking with little distance between greens and tees, with holes 9 and 18 finishing at the clubhouse. With the very active group play at the club including menís, ladies, seniors and many others, a member has numerous choices to find a game or group of their liking.
To top it off, you can also take in fine dining and a daily happy hour at Vue on 30A, where award-winning Chef Giovanni Filippone prepares some of the best fare in the area and there is a variety of live music.
What also sets the Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club apart from others is its membership options, with a significant focus on Equity membership.
"Our members own the club," explained Gouge. "They direct the operations and the future of the club through the Board of Directors. They have a say in everything."
The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is a respite for snowbirds and full-time residents alike. It's a place for families as well as place to meet new friends at social events like cooking demonstrations, beer and wine tastings, bonfires and sandcastle building. There is something for members of all ages.
"It's not just a membership," Gouge said. "It's a lifestyle."
