ECMS retreat



The Emerald Coast Meditation Society will host a day of silent meditation and quiet activities from 6:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Dec. 22 at he Coastal Branch Library, 437 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach to honor solstice that takes place Dec. 21. It is the final ECMS daylong retreat in a series that began in December 2009. Anyone who meditates is welcome to attend all or any part of the retreat.

Carrabba’s cooking class

Baytowne on Ice



The ice skating rink at The Village of Baytowne Wharf will be open through Jan. 31 at the Apex Broadcasting Skating Pavilion. For $10 guests can skate for an hour and a half. Skate rental is $2. Free pancakes at IHOP



IHOP will give away free pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 5 to celebrate National Pancake Day. The fundraiser aims to raise $3 million to kick off Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ 30th anniversary.

Pajama Time Story Time
