The ice skating rink at The Village of Baytowne Wharf will be open through Jan. 31 at the Apex Broadcasting Skating Pavilion. For $10 guests can skate for an hour and a half. Skate rental is $2. A fun filled evening featuring local poets collaborating with visual artists and musicians to present a unique and colorful spoken word performance, “The Longest Night,” begins at 6 p.m. at The Hidden Lantern, 84 N. Barrett Square in Rosemary Beach and will benefit a local non-profit, BeGenerous. Enjoy a musical intermission by local artist, Shank, and a live and silent art auction. The Emerald Coast Meditation Society will host a day of silent meditation and quiet activities from 6:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Coastal Branch Library, 437 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach to honor solstice that takes place Dec. 21.
