Beach Party Bus gets ready to rumble
Got a crowd that wants to party, but don't want the hassles of arranging cars, finding parking or worrying about designated drivers? The Beach Party Bus is ready to ferry party animals safely to and from events.
Ron Romano and Andy Wiggins founded Beach Event and Party Bus with a plan to transport people for birthdays, weddings, parties, proms and corporate events.
"The idea came from friends in Charlotte, N.C., that have a highly successful event and party bus company with eight buses," Romano said. "There's also the popular "Fur Bus" in Atlanta, which is widely known by many in our area."
Although they are renovated school buses, take a peek inside. Upgraded, with a state-of-the-art sound system, open seating and safety features, this is not your kid's school bus.
Similar to a limousine service, but with room for up to 30, the Beach Party Bus can be rented by the hour. Prices are comparable to renting a stretch limo, Romano said.
With the number of weddings, parties, corporate events, reunions and outdoor activities that occur year-round on the Emerald Coast, this is a prime market for the concept, Romano said. The bus will also be available for children's birthday parties and can be used as group transportation for larger events.
Plans are for five to seven buses, each with different themes and seating capacities. Beach Event and Party Bus will initially serve the area from Fort Walton Beach/Niceville to Destin, County Road 30A, Panama City Beach and Panama City/Lynn Haven. The company will begin operation with one bus, the Blue Bus. Later buses while also have colorful names orange, yellow and red.
The owners are currently looking for a business partner to run the day-to-day operations and share in a percentage of profits, as well as professional part-time drivers. Advertising opportunities are available both on the outside and inside of the bus. The company plans to have the first bus in operation for the holiday season.
