DAPHNE, Ala. (4-5) at NICEVILLE (7-0), 7 p.m.
Daphne, a Class 6A team out of Alabama, rolls into town to face a scorching hot Niceville team coming off a huge win over rival Fort Walton Beach. Daphne has an impressive pedigree, last visiting the Alabama 6A state title game in 2005. But they’ve slipped a bit this year, and the Eagles have been picking up steam since the season began. Since running back Roy Finch returned from injury in Week 5, the Eagles have put up 141 points in their last three games combined.
Last week: Daphne defeated Robertsdale 27-0; Niceville defeated Fort Walton Beach 36-13.
Last season: Did not play.

CRESTVIEW (5-2) at LEON (4-2), 6 p.m.
Crestview will make the long trek to Tallahassee to take on Class 4A Leon, a team coming off a brutal 33-point loss to inner-city rival Lincoln last week. The Bulldogs’ season has perked up of late as their last two wins were nail-biters, stealing a win from previously undefeated Milton with 30 seconds left and then hanging on to win against district foe Mosley last week. This game will set the table for Crestview’s massive District 2-4A showdown with Niceville next week.
Last week: Crestview defeated Mosley 34-33; Leon lost 42-9 to Lincoln.
Last season: Did not play.

PACE (4-4, 2-1) at NAVARRE (2-5, 1-2), 7:30 p.m.
Navarre’s season was once in tatters at 0-5, but things are looking up for the Raiders after two straight wins over Walton and then Escambia, both on the road. They’ll try to keep the positive District 1-4A momentum rolling at home, this time against a Pace team hunting for a playoff berth. Navarre will look to ride its recent winning streak to a .500 district record with two important district games left on the schedule. Much has yet to be decided in Navarre.
Last week: Navarre defeated Escambia 13-10; Pace lost 36-30 to Pine Forest.
Last season: Did not play.
WAKULLA (5-1-1) at WALTON (2-5), 7 p.m.
Walton’s season has been predicated on resiliency, and the Braves will have to bounce back again after a loss to Pensacola Catholic last week that was decided with minutes remaining. The Braves still have plenty to play for, as a game between Catholic and Chipley next week will decide Walton’s playoff fate. A solid performance against a visiting one-loss team would certainly go over well.
Last week: Wakulla beat Lawton Chiles 51-31; Walton lost 24-20 to Catholic.
Last season: Did not play.

VERNON (4-3, 3-3) at SOUTH WALTON (7-1, 6-1), 7 p.m.
With its playoff fate comfortably in its own hands, South Walton can assure a second consecutive playoff berth with a win here for the first time in program history. Should Freeport do the unthinkable and lose its last two District 1-A games, South Walton would clinch its second consecutive district title with a win. This week, the Seahawks’ rolling offense will attempt to put away a feisty Vernon team in their last district contest of the season.
Last week: Vernon was idle; South Walton defeated Sneads 35-0.
Last season: South Walton won 14-13.
ROCKY BAYOU CHRISTIAN (0-7, 0-2) at GRACEVILLE (1-6, 0-2), 7 p.m.
Rocky Bayou’s continuing search for its first win takes the Knights to Graceville this week in a District 1-B battle. Graceville’s lone win this season was a 26-0 shutout against Franklin County, a team that thrashed Rocky Bayou 40-0 earlier this year. More than anything, the Knights simply need to improve their on-field product – they’ve been outscored 162-22 in their last three games.
Last week: Rocky Bayou lost 56-6 to Cottondale; Graceville lost 42-6 to Jefferson County.
Last season: Graceville won 56-6.
