Haiti Fundraiser a success
The Rev. Benjamin F. Tandy, pastor of the St Stephen Baptist Church of Freeport, would like to extend a wholesome thank you to all the churches and residents of Freeport and the surrounding area for their wonderful support of the Haitian Fund Raiser held at St. Stephens Baptist Church Feb. 6. This charitable fish fry event was a tremendous success, raising $2,000 to be sent to the American Red Cross earmarked for Haitian relief. Cherry Hunt was the winner of the raffled afghan.
The entire community has a lot to be proud of because of the unity and cooperation displayed. May God continue to bless and keep each and every one of you.
