PRIME TIME classes begin registration

Registration for Fall PRIME TIME series of personal enrichment classes offered by Northwest Florida State College begins Sept. 8 by web and in-person at the Niceville campus and Sept. 9 at all seven college locations. 

The PRIME TIME schedule of classes and registration information is available on the college website at www.nwfsc.edu/schedule, from the college’s Continuing Education Department at 729-6084, and is available at various community locations such as libraries and chambers of commerce.

Open to adults of any age, PRIME TIME non-credit classes start in September, October and November and range from $5 to $75. Most PRIME TIME courses are offered at the college’s Niceville campus with a series of courses offered at the college’s new South Walton Center, located off Hwy. 331 south.  New Lunch & Learn courses on "Norway – Land of the Midnight Sun” and "Madame Butterfly” will be offered at Rutherford's 465 in Regatta Bay, Destin. The popular Chef's Choice series will feature various area restaurants including La Famiglia, Carrabba’s, Fish Lipz Bar & Grill and Santa Rosa Beach Club. 

All PRIME TIME courses are designed for leisure learning with no grades or tests given. Classes focus on computers, health, foods, politics, arts, gardening, dog obedience and more. New courses this year include I’m Not Bossy - I Just Have Better Ideas, which focuses on creative gift giving, decorating and entertaining;  Chair Yoga; Life is Good, Exercise for Awareness; a Wine Dinner at Wine World in Destin, How Dark Was It? about the Dark Ages, Let There be Light about the Enlightenment, as well as several new art courses.

Individuals who have previously enrolled may register by web at www.nwfsc.edu. Web registration begins at 9 a.m. Sept. 8.  First time students should enroll in person at NWFSC in Niceville from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the College Mall, Bldg. K and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Bldg. C. Registration at all other college campuses begins Sept. 9 and continues until classes start or are filled.  PRIME TIME participants receive the benefits of regular NWF State College students, including use of the library, access to special events, and free parking.
