Theft of copper wire

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the recent theft of copper wire from a vacant trailer off County Road 183, just outside of DeFuniak Springs. The owners of the trailer reported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office that someone pried the front door open and went inside sometime between Nov. 6 and 13.
The manufactured home is located in a small trailer park owned by the victim. At this time, there’s no other evidence of any other units being broken into. Similar incidents are currently being investigated in Holmes and Geneva counties.
