Business Briefs: June 14

The Orvis Company announced that Jason Siler has been promoted to store manager of their Grand Boulevard at Sandestin location. Jason has been with the company for three years and moved to the area from Atlanta to open the Grand Boulevard location in 2007.

BRIAN HAUGEN
UBS Financial Services Inc. announced that Brian Haugen, a financial advisor in its Destin office, has been named vice president - investments. Haugen has more than 15 years of experience in the securities industry.
A graduate of Marion Military Institute and the University of West Florida, Haugen holds degrees in engineering and business management. He is the vice chairman of the board, membership development, for the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce; a Foundation board member of the University of West Florida; and serves as a Lieutenant Colonel, Special Forces, in the Army National Guard. He lives in Valparaiso with his wife, Kathy, and their son, Taylor.
In addition, Haugen has formed a partnership with Steve Cann, who joined UBS in 2007 after completing 10 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. Haugen and Cann continue to focus efforts on designing financial portfolios for high-net-worth clients along the Emerald Coast.

WET SAND CAR CARE
Scorpion Protective Coatings announces that Wet Sand Car Care in Miramar Beach has joined its family of applicators able to apply a polyurethane coating on a wide variety of things ranging from truck beds to wood decks.

RESORTQUEST
ResortQuest Real Estate has expanded its reach in the Destin Harbor with a new on-site office location at Destin Pointe, previously occupied by Destin Pointe Realty.
Pat Lueders, ResortQuest Destin sales manager, is leading the Destin Pointe branch office. The new sales office is on Holiday Isle at 480 Gulf Shore Drive and is open Monday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday noon - 5 p.m.

MOLLY AUBRY
Cornerstone Marketing & Advertising Inc. announces a new addition to their design team: Molly Aubry, graphic designer.
Aubry holds a Bachelors Degree in fine arts in graphic design from University of Florida.
Aubry was chosen by UF faculty to be one of 20 students to join a unique, two-year graphic design studio crafted to groom promising young designers with personal mentoring in a tailored design community. Additionally, she was one of seven students hand-picked to travel to a remote village in Mexico and create an identity and advertising materials for Xyaat, a small Mayan cooperative community.
Aubry also traveled through Europe with Contiki, a worldwide tourism company, as a marketing representative.

BILL BUBEL
Howard Group announced the addition of Bill Bubel as vice president of operations for the company's properties. Bubel is responsible for leading the property teams and overseeing all aspects of property management including operations and contractors, financial reporting, marketing, tenant and customer relations.
Bubel has over 20 years of experience. For the previous nine years, he worked for Jones Lang LaSalle Retail, a division of Jones Lang LaSalle, a real estate money management and services firm with over 600 shopping centers.
Bubel has received a Merritt Award from the International Council of Shopping Centers' Maxi program, and has a Certified Shopping Center Manager certification. Since his arrival to this area five years ago, Bubel has been an active member of various civic and community organizations, serving on the board of directors of local chambers and convention visitors bureaus.
He resides in Niceville along with his wife, Susan, and his two sons, Brad and Brandon.
