Sacred Heart to present Safe Sitter program May 3

The Family Birth Place at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is hosting the nationally recognized Safe Sitter program on May 3 to help adolescents prepare to be safe babysitters. The class takes place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the education classroom at the Family Birth Place.
Participants will receive hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques in addition to learning security precautions, such as what to do if a stranger comes to the door. Additional topics include basic child development and the business aspects of babysitting.
This class is one of the many educational offerings currently available through the Family Birth Place at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, which features family-centered maternity care.
