Sacred Heart hosts seminar on special financial trust

Sacred Heart Senior Services and Mainstay Financial Group Inc. are presenting a free seminar on a special trust used to cover funeral expenses, which unfortunately can create a financial burden on families these days. The seminar is at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., May 19, in the Suite 3 Resource Center conference room at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. 
John Gossage, certified senior advisor with Mainstay Financial Group, provides an overview of this guarantee issue policy, which gives guaranteed interest to combat inflation, provides a tax-free death benefit, is portable to any funeral home in the country, and protects funds from creditors, nursing homes, probate, estate taxes and Medicaid. In addition, any unused benefits pass to heirs tax-free.
This seminar is part of the Sacred Heart Senior Spirit Financial Matters Series, which features a monthly seminar highlighting various financial tips for seniors.  Sacred Heart "SeniorSpirit" is a program for persons 55 and older.
