Chris Hicks, owner of the Destin Miracle-Ear, was recently named a Platinum Club winner. Only 35 franchisees are recognized for this award, putting them in the top 1 percent of the company's franchise system.

Jean Floyd, a broker associate with Keller Williams Realty Emerald Coast, has been selected to sit on the 2008 board of directors for Shelter House.
Floyd said, "This is just a small way that I may be involved in changing the lives of victims of domestic abuse. We are constantly looking for ways to raise funds for new safe housing and temporary support for these families."
