Investigators issue a plea for witnesses to Destin wreck

The Okaloosa County Sheriff is continuing its investigation into a fatal traffic crash at Highway 98 & Matthew Boulevard in Destin on Friday, January 16. 70-year old Xellaine Parker Beith was killed after the 1999 Plymouth Van she was driving was stuck by a 2008 Ford F250 driven by 17-year old Dillon Wraith. Beith was attempting to cross Highway 98 from Matthew Boulevard when her vehicle was struck by Wraith’s eastbound truck. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Deputy Bill Harwood at (850) 651-7702 ext. 579.
