Nancy S. Henson

Nancy S. Henson, 88, passed away March 1, 2010. Mrs. Henson was a retired telephone operator and a friend to all who knew her. She loved being outdoors and made the most of every opportunity that came her way. She participated in Volksmarches, attended TOPS, scuba dived, rode   motorcycles with the Motor Maids and traveled to all 50 states. Nothing gave her more pleasure than taking her motorcycle on a long, early morning ride.

Mrs. Henson has joined her beloved husband, Swede and her only child, Buster, who were surely standing at attention as they waited for her, just as she liked.

She leaves behind her niece, Nancy Sherman of Freeport, Fla.; her brother-in-law, Howard Sherman of Niceville, Fla.; and one sister, Daisy Olsen of Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. March 5 at Twin Cities Cremation Services and Funeral Home, 1405 John Sims Parkway E. in Niceville. Funeral services will follow at   1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to your local Boy Scouts to continue Mrs. Henson’s support for this organization in which her beloved Swede and Buster participated.
