Maxine E. McCombs

Mrs. Maxine E. McCombs, 82, passed away Jan. 20, 2010 at midnight.  She was born Oct. 8, 1927.

Maxine was a resident of Freeport for the past 15 years, moving here from Selma, Ala. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie McCombs.

Maxine is survived by her two sons, John D. Odom and wife Kay of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Robert S. Odom and wife Mary Sue of Santa Rosa Beach. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many cousins and friends.

Memorialization will be by cremation. Burial will follow at Hatcher Cemetery in Freeport at a later date.

Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
