Black History Month Celebration
The St. Stephen’s Baptist Church of Freeport, in recognition of Black History Month, will have a special program at 4 p.m. Feb. 27. The keynote speaker is Rev. LaTanj Neal, pastor of the St John A.M.E. church of Ponce de Leon. This year’s theme is “The History of Black Economic Power.” Creatively designed posters from the Freeport Elementary School fifth-graders will be on display. Since we are still receiving donations for Haitian relief, individuals who have not had the opportunity to give may do so at this event. The program is open to the general public. Refreshments will be served.
Freeport Assembly of God
Freeport Assembly of God, 17457 Hwy. 331 S, will hear the series “Galatians — Christ in You,” Sundays at 10:50 a.m. and the series, “Preaching through the Psalms,” Wednesdays at 7 p.m. A nursery is available. Call 865-4068.
American Gospel Concerts
American Gospel Ministries presents free concerts at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 622 Bayshore Drive in Niceville. A love offering will be taken.

Music for Muscogee concert
David Seering will perform a concert, “Music for Muscogee,” to benefit the Muscogee Tribe of Bruce at 6 p.m. March 14 at Crosspoint Church, 1477 North County Hwy. 393 in Santa Rosa Beach. Donation of $25. Reserved seats. Call 267-3146.
John Starnes concert
Gospel singer John Starnes will perform at 7 p.m. March 19 at First Baptist Church Freeport, 430 Kylea Laird Drive. Call 835-2742.
Upper Room Morning Worship
Gather in the “upper room” upstairs at Marlin Grill in The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort at 9 a.m. each Sunday for an interdenominational morning service of teaching, praise and worship. Dress casual. Call 351-1990.
