Reed White led Niceville with two goals and Alex Bolin turned in a solid defensive effort as Niceville defeated District 1-5A rival Crestview 4-1 on Tuesday.
Jake Pratt added a goal on a free kick while Chippee Williams capped the Eagles' scoring effort. Spencer Van Decar and Justin Santasier each added an assist for the Eagles and Iain Mowbray accounted for Crestview's lone goal on a penalty kick.
Niceville (3-0) plays host to Choctawahatchee on Thursday.
l South Walton 4, Milton 0: Lalo Gordillo paced South Walton's offensive attack with three goals, Tony Rodriguez notched an assist and Jose Flores added another goal as South Walton kicked off its season with a shutout win.
The Seahawks (1-0) travel to Walton today.
l Navarre 2, West Florida Tech 2: Ian Jaugan and Eddie Arroyo both knocked in goals for Navarre (2-1-1, 2-0-1) but it was only good enough to draw even with West Florida Tech on Tuesday. Andres Garcia and Nate Jensen each recorded an assist for the Raiders, who next play Gulf Breeze Thursday on the road.
On Monday, Garcia, Arroyo and Derrick Borgesteede each tallied two goals for the Raiders to help notch an 8-1 win over Milton. Jensen and Nolan Collier each added goals while Nolan Smith, Landon Scheffler, Chase Day, Collier and Jenson also notched an assist. Alex Grigsby posted two saves and Gary Gutierrez had one.
Girls soccer
l Niceville 13, Escambia 0: Marleigh Howard and Megan Fox led the way for Niceville with three goals apiece while eight different players scored as the Eagles romped to a lopsided win over Escambia. Molly Everitt added two goals, while Katie Mitchell, Katie Wills, Ali DeMonbrun, Lindsay Foy and Grace Sager all chipped in one. JD Dent, Fox and Sager each tallied an assist.
Niceville (4-1, 3-0) will travel to Tallahassee this weekend to take part in a tournament and will play Santa Fe on Friday.
l Rocky Bayou Christian 8, East Hill Christian 0: The Knights used a three-goal, one-assist performance from Katie Kaim to help power past East Hill. Shannon Donahue scored twice while Jane Brown Ellen, Mary Balthazar and Grace Stoner each scored once. Hannah Peters had three assists, while Lindsey Beno, Ashley Weaver, Christiana Serban and Balthazar each recorded one.
Rocky Bayou (2-4) next plays Thursday against South Walton.
l Navarre 6, Milton 0: Kelly Hayes led the way for the Raiders (4-2, 2-0) with three goals to post their fourth win of the year. Bry Grant, Madison Rodwell and Sam Slaybaugh tallied a goal apiece while Jennifer Rutledge added two assists and Meaghan Slaybaugh, Rodwell and Grant each posted one. Navarre keepers Jasmine Jordan and Anne Preston each recorded a save to complete the shutout.
Navarre travels to Gulf Breeze on Thursday.
l Fort Walton Beach 1, Tate 0: Skye Carpenter knocked in the lone Viking goal of the night on an assist from Jackie Kroeger and the Fort Walton Beach defense made it stand in a 1-0 win over Tate (1-2, 0-2) to remain perfect (5-0, 4-0) on the year.
The Vikings return home on Thursday when they play host to Pace.
Girls basketball
l South Walton 50, Holmes County 17: Sam Snider scored 14 points and Tiffany Snider chipped in 12 as the Seahawks cruised in their season debut.
Aracely Garcia added 10 for South Walton (1-0), which plays host to Freeport on Thursday.
