Paxton takes down Laurel Hill

Zack Vickers led a quartet of Bobcats in double figures with 25 points as Paxton (15-3, 8-0) remained unbeaten in District 1-A play with a 74-56 win over archrival Laurel Hill on Friday night.

Joining Vickers in double figures were Demetrius Moore, Colby Forehand and Michael Smith with 12 points each. Dan Geoghagan just missed joining the club with eight points for the Bobcats.

The Hoboes (7-7, 2-3) kept the game close in the first half thanks to Issiac Williams, who matched Vickers with 25 points. Williams had 16 points at intermission as Laurel Hill only trailed 34-29 at the break.

Ethan Jackson added 13 points for the Hoboes.
