Johnny Rockets in Grand Boulevard under new management

Kelly Rye is the new owner/operator of Johnny Rockets in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. Rye, who spent his summers as a child in the Sandestin area, is dedicated to the Johnny Rockets mission of providing its customers with quality customer service and a premium dining experience.

“Seeing the restaurant filled and people enjoying their food is success to me. It is challenging, but the reward is great,” he said.

Johnny Rockets menu features a variety of dining specials, and every Wednesday children eat free from 5 to 8 p.m.

A young entrepreneur, Rye is a graduate of the University of Georgia and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the prestigious Terry College of Business at UGA. He moved to the Destin area to work as owner/operator of Johnny Rockets and received a warm welcome from many of the store owners in Grand Boulevard.

“Everyone has been helpful introducing me to people in the area — it’s very friendly here,” he said.  

Rye prides himself on excellent and dependable customer service and appreciates the local support of the community.  

“Anyone is welcomed at Johnny Rockets – this restaurant should be fun for everyone,” he said.

Over the next couple years, Rye plans to open additional Johnny Rockets restaurants in different areas of the region.
