Rocky Bayou ends first season on proud note

 Staff Reports

James Kaim completed a 21-yard touchdown pass to Dion Wright with just 20 seconds remaining to help propel Rocky Bayou (3-7) to a 36-28 win over John Paul II.

Billy Thomas plunged through the John Paull II (0-7) defense for the two-point conversion and the Knights' defense held on to preserve the win.

Kaim finished with a team-high 171 yards on 29 carries as the Knights pounded out 283 of their 330 total yards on the ground.

Following a three-hour delay due to lightning in the area, Rocky Bayou took a 22-12 lead just before halftime.

"We waited three hours to throw a six-yard touchdown pass," Knights coach John Reaves said.
