Celebrate the holidays at Silver Sands Factory Stores
Tis the season for holiday fun, fabulous shopping and of course, great discounts at Silver Sands Factory Stores.
This year, the Center is planning a series of festive community events throughout the next few weeks to kick off the holiday season and keep everyone in the spirit as they buy for the ones they love. More than 20 local charities and organizations will benefit from these great initiatives at Silver Sands.
“The community — charities and shoppers alike — are counting on us more than ever this holiday season. We’re assisting charities from around the region raise money and giving shoppers the best values on designer items,” stated Traci Stokes, marketing director of Silver Sands.
The holiday season officially kicks off at Silver Sands on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. with the fifth annual Evening of Giving, a festive shopping and entertainment event benefiting over 20 local charities. Tickets may be purchased for $5 at Shopper Services, located near Michael Kors, with 100 percent of ticket proceeds benefiting participating charities. Throughout the evening, ticket holders enjoy exclusive discounts listed on the back of the ticket that are valid for that night only.
Evening of Giving will also feature musical entertainment from the Swingin’ Dick Tracys band from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Courtyard in front of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. Immediately following will be the first lighting of the Center’s 40-foot tree as well as live entertainment throughout the Center, in-store events, refreshments, charity informational tables and much more.

Sunday, Nov. 22 is also the debut of Silver Sands nightly light and music Christmas performance, Holiday Lights in Concert, running from Nov. 22 to Jan. 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. The focal point is the Center’s 40-foot tree as more than 70,000 red, white and green lights are intricately choreographed to favorite holiday songs. The 30-minute performance is a must see for the entire community. Besides getting you in the mood for the Christmas season, the light and music show offers a great way to enjoy a break from shopping, share a lovely moment with family and friends or even serve as a background for a special photograph to commemorate the evening. Holiday Lights in Concert is free and open to the public. In addition to the main attraction, the entire Silver Sands Center is beautifully lit and decorated for the public to enjoy.
The shopping extravaganza event of the year known as Midnight Madness is returning to Silver Sands on the day after Thanksgiving. The Center will open at midnight on Friday, Nov. 27 and kicks off the night by giving away a $1,000 Silver Sands shopping spree every hour from 1 to 6 a.m. Early bird shoppers can save even more on the busiest shopping day of the year with exclusive door buster deals and sales offering additional discounts on already reduced outlet prices. A complete list of sales and promotions will be posted to Silver Sands Web site on Monday, Nov. 23. All stores will remain open until 9 p.m. Friday night and reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28.
Make sure to visit Silver Sands newest stores, including Journeys, Talbots, San Antonio Shoes and Lacoste. Silver Sands gift cards, valid at all 100 stores and restaurants, make the perfect gift and can be purchased at Shopper Services, by calling 850-654-9771, ext. 1 or online. Shoppers can take a break at any of the six on-site restaurants, including Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe and Cheeseburger In Paradise.
After shoppers find their perfect gift, they can visit Charity Gift Wrap, located near Shopper Services and Lacoste, with all proceeds benefiting Sinfonia Gulf Coast. Volunteers will wrap gifts of all shapes and sizes, with various price points and paper selections available. Charity Gift Wrap will be open from 12 to 6 p.m. Dec. 1-14, 12 to 9 p.m. Dec. 15-23 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 24.
Everyone is encouraged to help a child in Walton County have a brighter holiday by visiting the “Families First Angel Tree,” located in Charity Gift Wrap, beginning on Tuesday, Dec. 1. A description of each child and gift suggestions will be available. Wrapped gifts must be returned to Charity Gift Wrap, by Saturday, Dec. 12.
The holiday celebration continues as Santa Claus flies into Silver Sands on Saturday, Dec. 5 at noon via Sacred Heart Hospital’s AirHeart helicopter. All children under eight years old are invited to dress up in festive holiday costumes and join in the Santa Parade. Following the parade will be snacks, a special appearance by “Prince” and “Princess” Bears of Sacred Heart, photo opportunities with Santa and a costume contest featuring great prizes. All proceeds benefit Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.
If you miss Santa’s Arrival, there will be two other chances to meet Old Jolly Nick. Santa will be at Charity Gift Wrap on Saturday, Dec. 12 and 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. Shoppers can have their photos taken with Santa and give him their wish list this holiday season for a donation of $5 that will benefit Sinfonia Gulf Coast.
