Methadone found during traffic stop
On Monday, November 16, 2009 DeFuniak Springs Police stopped Phillip A. Schneider for a routine traffic stop. Upon consent given by Schneider, a search was made of his person and vehicle, at which time the Officer found a prescription bottle labeled as ‘hydrocodone’, a pain medicine. Once checked and verified, the contents of the bottle were actually verified to be ‘methadone’, a schedule II narcotic. Schneider was arrested and transported to the Walton County jail where he was booked for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, a felony of the third degree.
