Old and without Social Security
Letter to the Editor: Nov. 15
Are you a notch victim?
If you were born between the years 1917 and 1926 you are a “notch victim.”
You were never given your fair share of Social Security, ever, and if you’re living on a fixed income, as I am, it’s just not right.
For the past 18 years I have been written to by various groups professing to bring his problem to a vote before congress and asking for a donation. Nothing has ever been done about this problem.
We should all start contacting our government and news media. Maybe it will come to the attention of the right people to get this before congress.
A $5,000 lump sum will be given to all notch victims, $1,225 for four years, even to your deceased spouses if they were born at this time.
I am 85 years old and use a walker and a wheelchair for my mobility. I need this help now. I am a widow.
I realize this is an election year but this may be the last year for many notch victims.
Even the words “notch victims” are avoided like the plague by many politicians.
Our government must live up to its responsibilities to its citizens.
