Fabrice reopens bistro and bakery at Shops of South Haven

The Walton Sun

Fabrice and Fabienne Rizzo have returned to their South Walton roots with the reopening of Bistro & Bakery by Fabrice in its original location at the Shops of South Haven in Santa Rosa Beach.

The couple originally opened the bistro three years ago, then relocated to WaterColor two years ago. Now, both locations are open and serving fresh authentic French cuisine.

"We still had this location and did all our baking here, so, why not optimize its use," said Fabienne of the decision to reopen.

The Santa Rosa Beach location is open Monday through Friday for lunch only, from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

The mouthwatering aroma of sweet croissants baking in the oven greets those who enter. Those croissants can be found in the bakery case at the checkout, along with apple turnovers, pastries, breads, chocolate croissants, and almond dream wafers, all available for purchase.

However, the delicacies are not the main course.

The menu offers only nine lunch items, but with selections such as a yellowfish tuna burger seared medium rare, shrimp sandwich, turkey sandwich, a Parisian ham and cheese baguette, nicoise salad, BLT, quiche du jour, and the most Parisian of sandwiches, a choice of croquet monsieur or croquet madame, smaller is better.

Iced tea, lemonade, water, Perrier, soda, milk and coffee are available.

Prices are $7.50 - $8.50 per entrée.

Dining is available inside or out.

Down the road at the WaterColor location, the same sweet temptations are available, in addition to breakfast and lunch, seven days a week, and Sunday brunch, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

All breads at both locations are made in house. Take out orders are welcomed.

The Santa Rosa Beach bistro is located at 4821 U.S. Highway 98E, Suite 106. Call (850) 267-1000 for takeout.
