24-year-old charged with battering mother in fight over dirty dishes
A 24-year-old man was arrested Monday and charged with battering his mother in a fight over doing the dishes.
The man's mother told deputies that she asked her son to help with the dishes and he started yelling and refused, according to an arrest report from the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
She told her son that if he didn't want to help around the house then he should leave, according to the report.
Her son threw something from the yard at her, but missed, the report said. Then he punched her in the eye and grabbed her around her neck.
When the mother's boyfriend told her son to leave, her son jumped her boyfriend.
The mother was taken to Healthmark Medical Center for treatment.
Her son was charged with misdemeanor battery.
