    Friends of Scenic 30-A

    The Friends of Scenic 30-A and The 30A Foundation, Inc. will meet at 5 p.m. Feb. 1 at 70 Logan Lane, off of 283 in Grayton Beach. There will also be a public workshop regarding speed limits on 30-A to be held at 4 p.m. at the same location.

     

    Meditation Society

    The Emerald Coast Meditation Society will have two speakers at its Feb. 4 meeting.

    Ron and Sandy Frazer will talk on “Meditation: A Natural Health Approach” when The Emerald Coast Meditation Society meets at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at Christ the King Episcopal Church parish hall in Santa Rosa Beach.

    Anyone who would like meditation instruction, come at 6:15 p.m.

     

    Booklovers Discussion Group

    The Booklovers Discussion Group will meet at 10 a.m. Feb. 9 at South Walton’s Coastal Library, 427 Greenway Trail off Hwy. 331S. The selection for the month is  “The Fair Hope of Heaven” by Mary Lois Timbe. Call 267-2809.

     

    Herman Lodge

    Herman Lodge #108 Free and Accepted Masons will meet at 7 p.m. first and third Tuesdays of each month on Madison Street in Freeport. Call 835-2314.

     

    Eastern Star

    The Order of the Eastern Star #281 meets at 7:30 p.m. the first and third Fridays of each month at Herman Lodge on Madison Street in Freeport. Call 835-2314.

     

    New SHRM Chapter

    A new Society of Human Resource Management Chapter in Walton County will meet at 8 a.m. the first Thursday of the month at TJ’s Table in Freeport.
