•Feb. 25: Bike ride in the Garnier Bayou area of FWB/Shalimar at 3 p.m.  Meet at Garnier Park on Beachview Drive in Fort Walton Beach.  Beachview Drive intersects Eglin Parkway at the north foot of the Cinco Bayou Bridge. Supper after the ride at a nearby restaurant. Call 301-9452.

Embroiderers’ Guild

The Sand Dunes Chapter of Embroiderers' Guild of America meets at the First United Methodist Church of Niceville. The day group will meet from 9:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 22 and the night group will meet from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25. Visitors are welcome.

Florida Trail Association

The Florida Trail Association will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 23 at Bayou Blues in Niceville. Visitors welcome. Call 682-6098.

South Walton Republican Club

The South Walton Republican club will hold its annual general membership and business meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Coastal Branch Library on Hwy 331 in Santa Rosa Beach. All members, current and inactive, are requested to attend. Dues will be collected and membership cards distributed. Club plans for the upcoming primary election campaigns and the establishment of a Young Republicans Club will be discussed. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 who are interested in becoming politically active during this election year are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served. Call 835-6822.

Walton County Democratic Women

The Walton County Democratic Women will meet at noon Feb. 26 at Mitchell’s Fish Market. Guest speaker will be Dr. Terry Jack, professor of political science at Florida State, Panama City, and retired professor of political science at Gulf Coast Community College.

Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance
