Habitat seeking volunteers for Saturday catch-up

Due to recent bad weather, construction on the new Habitat for Humanity house in DeFuniak Springs has "fallen just a wee bit behind."

A call has been issued for at least 25-30 volunteers to work this Saturday in order to try to finish shingling the roof, install soffits, install siding, finish installing windows and exterior doors

Those interested in volunteering should go west 6.6 miles from the intersection of U.S. 331/90 to Girl Scout Road. The Girl Scout Road sign is behind a sign saying "Kokomoki." Turn right and go .8 of a mile to East Daisy Lane, the first right after the heavy power lines cross Girl Scout Road. Turn right on E. Daisy Lane and go about .3 of a mile to HFH house #17.
