Jowers wins golf tourney at Clemson
Choctawhatchee rising senior Brandon Jowers won the boys 16-19 division Tuesday in the second annual Clemson University Shootout after claiming victory on the fourth playoff hole.
At the conclusion of 36 holes, Jowers, Georgia’s Taylor Martin and South Carolina’s Bradley Tedstone were tied atop the leader board at 1-over 145. Jowers claimed the title with a decisive birdie on the fourth playoff hole.
Jowers was two strokes back after the first day but shot a 1-under on the second day, when he recorded four birdies.
Jowers recently won the Marvin DeBolt Daily News Junior Golf Classic.
