FWB's Williams signs with D-II power Valdosta State

Fort Walton Beach senior Spencer Williams signed a football scholarship with Division II power Valdosta State on Wednesday, joining a Blazers program that has captured two Division II national championships since 2004.

Williams, a defensive end last season for the Vikings, tallied 80 tackles, including 17 that went for a loss. Williams was a Daily News All-Area honorable-mention selection this past season.
Valdosta State is a member of the Gulf South Conference and has posted a 28-8 record over the past three seasons.
