Calling all condo and homeowner association managers and board members, the North Gulf Coast Chapter of the Community Associations Institute invites you to its 2nd Annual Trade Show at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort Sept. 27.

"There is kind of something for everyone," said Emily Jennings, executive director of the CAI's North Gulf Coast Chapter. "You can expect to meet experts in every field related to HOAs and condos."

The Sept. 27 Trade Show is a free event and will be held in the Baytowne Conference Center from 1-5 p.m. The show, which is themed "Anytime is Island Time!," will feature 50 exhibitors, as well as state required HOA and COA Board education training from noon to 3:30 p.m.

The training session will cover topics ranging from legal issues to accounting, Jennings told The Log.

"It's definitely important and they need to know there are resources available to them," she said. "If they are new members of an association, they will need this training."

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Community Associations Institute is a non-profit member association for condo and homeowner association managers, firms and businesses that work with them.

The CAI "works to foster responsive, competent, harmonious community associations by promoting the value of effective leadership, responsible citizenship and a strong sense of community."
