Chan’s beer of the week

Published: Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 04:26 PM.

Saint Somewhere Lectio Divinia is a cross between an abbey double and a saison style ale. Open fermentation with a saison strain and a dose of wild yeast add to the complexity. Grassy notes blend with a touch of funky sourness. It’s a beautiful brew from Tarpon Springs. Cost for 750 ml is $9.99. Chan is also recommending what has become his personal favorite — Cigar City Florida Cracker. He describes it as the “ideal beer for our climate” and “the perfect summertime sipper” — clean and creamy with a dry spicy finish. Both will be available for tasting at this weekend’s South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival at Grand Boulevard , which is sponsored by Chan’s Wine World with locations in Destin and South Walton.
