Seagrove's oldest pizza shop on the move

Seagrove's oldest pizza parlor is set to move on down the road.

Bruno's Pizza opened in its Seagrove Plaza location March 20, 1990 β€” 23 years ago.

In 1990, "the season" pretty much consisted of between Memorial Day and Labor Day, said Bruno's owner Jeff Goodman.

"After that, you had to close. Back then, there were many days when I would close out the register with zero sales. Things have changed a lot," he said.

Things have changed so much that Goodman needs more space to deal with the growth in the area and the demand for his pizzas.

"I have seen an increase of 30 to 40 percent over the last four years. I have been too busy," he said. "I have outgrown my 760-square feet of space and it's difficult to move around in the dining room with customers in there. I need more space."

Bruno's will close this weekend in its present location and move three miles east to WaterSound Beach into the former location of Fen's Gourmet Market/Deli.
