Cheryl Maxwell of Freeport joined members of the upcoming freshman class as Bob Jones University hosted summer orientation June 28-29.

Incoming students and their parents attended informational sessions about the BJU experience, asked questions regarding academics, financial aid and student life and became familiar with the campus. Students were also able to receive academic and career counsel from faculty and register for their fall classes.

Maxwell will major in criminal justice when classes begin Sept. 4.

"Summer orientation introduces parents and students to the BJU Bruins experience," said Jeff Heath, BJU's director of enrollment planning. "Students who attend are more prepared for college when classes begin in September."

Located in Greenville, S.C., Bob Jones University is a biblically faithful, liberal arts university focused on educating the whole person to reflect and serve Christ. BJU offers a unique blend of rigorous academic programs, discipleship, and character and leadership development. We are committed to the truth of Scripture and to pursuing excellence in all we do.
