Sara Curtis joins Dr. Bawa and Associates

Dr. Nitin Bawa, president and founder of Dr. Bawa and Associates, has announced Sara Curtis has joined the practice. Curtis is a certified physician assistant and has worked in cardiology, neurology and pain management. She enjoys taking care of complicated medical problems.

Curtis graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from State University of New York Oswego and graduated in 2010 with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College of Medical Arts.

“We are excited to have Sara join our practice” said Bawa. 

WCSO welcomes new public information officer

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office welcomed Catherine Rodriguez as its new public information officer. She has more than five years of experience as a community relations coordinator and public information officer as well as experience in media relations and crisis communication. Prior to her employment with the Walton County Sheriff’s office, Rodriguez worked for the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the University of West Florida and the US Embassy in Honduras. While at the US Embassy, she worked with senior members of the US Country Team such as the US Ambassador, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Regional Security Office, as well as key members of the Honduran government covering political unrest, crime, drug and arms trafficking and a host of other issues.

Rodriguez holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University and has taught as an adjunct professor at Northwest Florida State College.
