Elephant Walk hires Tyler Hysom as new manager

Elephant Walk of Sandestin recently hired Tyler Hysom as its new manager.

Hysom graduated with a degree in hospitality management from the University of Southern Mississippi in the summer of 2010.  Throughout his previous work experience, Hysom has held multiple positions in the restaurant, lodging and gaming industry.

Hysom began his professional relationship with Elephant Walk owners Tom Rice and Wayne Lewis in 2007, when he joined the staff at Elephant Walk’s sister restaurant, Marlin Grill, at the Village of Baytowne Wharf.

“I am elated over the opportunity to work for Tom and Wayne in a different capacity than before,” Hysom said. “I understand their working philosophy and professionalism and look forward to continuing this philosophy at Elephant Walk.”

Two local public relations firms’ partner

The steve barber public relations and l. gall & company announced they have joined forces to create a third company, barber & gall promotions, specializing in events, unique promotions, and special public relations projects. The partners offer more than 45 years experience combined and have already worked with many companies and non-profits throughout the Southeast U.S. and beyond.

“The creation of this company will allow us to honor requests, not only locally but from various other markets, to place our unique signature on public relations campaigns and special events,” said Steve Barber, partner.

“Together, our experience will continue the award winning work that we have both produced throughout the years, while offering unique insight to our clients,” said Lauren Gall, partner. “We very much look forward to also continuing to produce upscale events benefiting various local and regional charities.”
