Kristin Muldowney named to Dean's List

Kristin Muldowney of Santa Rosa Beach, a psychology major, has been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the fall 2013 semester.

To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Ranked No. 21 among national public universities, Clemson University is a major, land-grant, science- and engineering-oriented research university that maintains a strong commitment to teaching and student success.

New physical therapists

Chautauqua Rehab & Nursing Center recently announced that Ben Hammett, DPT has joined the physical therapy team as the outpatient physical therapist and Corey Fernadez, DPT has joined the physical therapy team as a physical therapist. 

Hammett is from West Monroe, La. and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Aviation.  He then received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine.

Fernadez is a 2003 graduate of Freeport High School where he played baseball and basketball. He then went on to FSU for his undergraduate studies and graduated from the University of Florida in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Ken Bryant appointed to Chamber of Commerce Board

Ken Bryant, CPA, a partner at Destin based accounting firm, Carter & Company, CPA, LLC, was recently appointed to the 2014 Board of Directors for the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s annual gala Feb. 4.

“I am so pleased to serve the organization in this capacity and look forward to helping make a difference in the business community of Walton County,” Bryant said.
